Job Description
Participate in developing and implementing effective sales policies and procedure, ensure the sales function has the necessary resources to achieve its business plans /objectives
Responsibilities
- Develops the annual sales business plan includes the key performance, objectives, targets, needed resources and budget to achieve the company’s mission and objectives.
- Attends, presents, analyzes and compares the actual performance, of the “retail” sales against the business plan, through the monthly meeting with the GM and Commercial Director.
- Plan/carry out/support marketing activities and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, and exhibitions.
- Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
- Approving the price offers after being sent from the estimation section in terms of price and specifications.
- Negotiating the terms of agreement and following up with customers to close deals.
- Approving the discounts and sent for approval by the Commercial Director.
- Visits the retailers, wholesalers and work with the sales supervisor for the preparation of sales-entry, price offer / discount provided.
- Develop and manage regular meetings with the sales staff to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Determine price schedules and discount rates.
- Confer and consult with the marketing manager to plan advertising services and to provide information on competitors’ products, customer specifications & communicate these to the sales staff.
- Follow up the implementation of corrective actions on the basis of special reports of internal audit.
- Provide periodic reports to the Commercial Director.
- Plan, supervise, and review work of subordinates.
- Providing coaching and continuous feedback on the sales team performance.
- Appraising the staff performance and identifying the needed training and making action plans that ensure overcoming the weaknesses areas.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the Commercial Director
Qualifications
Education:
· University degree in business.
· Preferably a post graduate studies in sales and marketing management.
Experience:
From eight (8) to ten (10 years') experience in the field of sales. With a minimum of 4 years in a managerial positions.
