Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced and customer focused Clerical Officers to join our client’s business unit in Kununurra. These are temporary positions for approximately 2-3 months. Part-time and full-time hours are available with the view to start immediately.

Short Summary

As the Clerical Officer, you will provide daily clerical and reception services, including switch board and administration support to our client’s business unit in Kununurra.

Key Responsibilities: reporting to the Business Manager, the Clerical Officer will primarily be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative and clinical systems support including data processing and retrieval for the staff of the business unit.
  • Maintaining and managing a centralised filing system including, contact lists, forms, and medical records.
  • Liaising with staff to distribute and respond to all confidential and general correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
  • Undertaking receptionist duties, operates switchboard and is responsible for triaging calls to all staff and taking and forwarding on messages.
  • Mail management and coordination

About you
To be successful in this role you will have previous clerical administration experience along with outstanding customer service, organisational and time management skills.
You will be required to have proven clerical skills, Sound computer literacy skills with intermediate skills in Outlook and MS Word, and accurate data entry abilities.

Essential

  • Experience in providing reception services and administrative support.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, with the ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to show initiative, exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Sound computer skills, specifically in the use of MS Office and databases.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Current police clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • High standards of honesty, integrity, reliability and professionalism.
  • Experience in working in a cross-cultural environment (Desirable).
