Production Engineer

Job Description
  • Manage workers on the production line, ensuring they all work together as a team and follow protocols.
  • Ensure training of the production team related to safety and quality assurance protocols.
  • Supervise production staff to ensure they meet important production deadlines.
  • Train production workers on how to use the equipment in the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoot all steps in this process, and seek improvement in procedures wherever necessary.
  • Determine from where in the production line a problem originates, such as issues with machinery needing to be fixed, cleaned or redesigned, or if a worker is not adhering to the proper steps in manufacturing, such as using the equipment incorrectly or not assembling products properly.
  • Plan production schedules considering budgets, manpower, equipment and materials for specific projects.
  • Develop new procedures for items already in production or to be produced in the future, and meet with other departments to discuss product development.
  • Plan production schedule by managing and assigning work shifts for team members.
  • Carry out trial mixes, maintain and update design mixes; and amend concrete batches due to fluctuation of moisture content mostly of raw materials
  • Perform other functions assigned by management from time to time.
  • Comply with HSE requirements communicated in HSE induction, Procedures and policies.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions
  • Cooperate with anything the employer does to comply with OHS requirements.
  • Comply with HSE requirements communicated in HSE induction, Procedures, and policies.
  • Lead as an example in front of workers by not violating any rules and correcting unsafe actions and conditions.
  • Attend Group Safety Meetings, HSE Campaigns & committee meetings as and when required.
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions to the HSE dept. using Intelex or booklets provided to you and monitor your targets and KPIs.
  • Do not carry out any task if you are not trained or reauthorized to do so, and make sure the workers working under you are following the same.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
