Responsibilities
The Country Manager leads the overall CAFU business in the local market and is tasked with ensuring a sustained growth of the CAFU operations, P&L accountability and expected to engage with government entities including but not limited to civil defense, ministry of petroleum, ministry of interior to ensure full compliance and safety with local operations.
- Manage successfully the set up and market implementation in the local market.
- Oversee daily activities of all departments across the local business.
- Ensure compliance to all CAFU policies and local regulations and requirements to ensure safe & regulate operations in country.
- Responsible to manage all risks and opportunities.
- In collaboration with the People Team based in HQ (UAE) determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train new employees, and oversee those personnel processes.
- Establish effective processes and ways for working between local market & CAFU HQ (UAE)
- Full P&L ownership, responsible for positive growth and constantly driving market share in the Bahrain.
- Continuously building and identifying market opportunities in country.
- Build company culture in line with CAFU's mission, vision & values.
- Build and mentor high performance teams to deliver on OKRs & company growth.
- Collaborate with CAFU HQ teams and continuously align to drive and exceed business OKRs.
- Use existing network within the fuel industry to build mutual business partnerships that can be sustainable and serve the growth of CAFU.
- Identify business growth opportunities in Morocco by leveraging data and business insights.
- Continuously stay up to date with market trends and competitor performance to implement new strategies in country.
- Regularly review business efficiencies, identifying opportunities to optimize operations.
- Represent CAFU as Country Manager in press and media interviews.
- Develop, implement, and administer annual budget including quarterly re-forecasting and monthly variance reporting, and recommends capital expenditures to the BoD.
- Prepare financial reports according to established reporting requirements or as required by the BoD.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with departments at CAFU HQ to help support country operations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with a diversified background ideally combining strategy consulting, P&L management and subject matter expertise in the fuel industry.
- Relevant experience operting businesses in Morocco.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and growing business locally.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong know-how of tech. to consumer business / operating model along with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Previous experience with Oil Market Company within the local (country) ecosystem is a plus.
- Business Cycle management – product development, M&A, JV and P&L leadership.
